Every Vocab Loco ready-made list comes with a full set of printable worksheets — vocabulary exercises, spelling sheets, handwriting practice, writing prompts, and puzzles. You can generate them in seconds directly from the list card or use the Worksheet Hub for more control over types and settings.
Step 1: Go to Vocab Loco Lists
- From your Teacher Dashboard, click Word Lists in the left sidebar.
- Select the Vocab Loco Lists tab. Use the filters or search to find the list group you want.
Step 2: Open Quick View
- Click Quick View on the list group card. This opens the Word List Group Details panel, showing all the individual lists inside that group.
Step 3: Print from Quick View
- For each individual list inside the group, you'll find quick print buttons:
- Print Words — a clean word list for student reference.
- Words With Definitions — the word list with definitions included.
- Handwriting — opens a handwriting practice sheet with font and size options.
- Worksheets — opens the full worksheet selector for that list.
- To print all lists in the group at once, click Print All Lists at the top of the Quick View panel.
Pro Tip: Use Print All Lists when you want a quick overview document of the full group — great for classroom reference sheets or parent handouts.
Step 4: Generate more worksheets with the Worksheet Hub
- For access to the full range of worksheet types, click Worksheet Hub in the left sidebar.
- In Step 1, select the worksheet types you want — Vocabulary, Spelling, Writing, Handwriting, Puzzles & Mixed. You can select more than one at a time.
- Click Continue.
- In Step 2, click the Vocab Loco tab to browse ready-made lists. Use the search and filters to find the list you want, then select it.
Step 5: Configure display options
- In Step 3, adjust the worksheet settings before generating:
- Black & White Mode — switches to grayscale to save printer ink.
- Word Bank Helper — adds a reference word list at the bottom of the page (on by default).
- If you selected a Handwriting worksheet, additional options appear: font style (AbcPrint, AbcDNManus, AbcCursive), font size, alignment, letter case, and guiding arrows.
- If you selected a Writing worksheet, choose a writing prompt from the list before continuing.
- Click Continue.
Step 6: Download or print
- In Step 4, click the worksheet button to open it in a new tab — ready to print or save as a PDF.
- If you generated multiple worksheet types, each one has its own button. Open and print them individually.
Pro Tip: Enable Shareable Links in Step 4 to generate a short URL for each worksheet. Send the link by email or post it in your learning platform so students or parents can download it directly — no login required.
Q: Can I generate worksheets for a list I haven't assigned to students yet? A: Yes. Worksheets can be generated from any Vocab Loco list regardless of whether it has been assigned. You don't need to assign a list to print its worksheets.
