Vocab Loco includes a built-in library of ready-made spelling and vocabulary word lists across grade levels. These lists live inside the Vocab Loco Lists tab, where you can search, preview lessons and words, print worksheets, and assign groups directly to students.
How to Access Vocab Loco Preloaded Grade-Leveled Word Lists
Step 1: Go to Word Lists
- From your Teacher Dashboard, click Word Lists in the left sidebar.
Step 2: Open the Vocab Loco Lists tab
- At the top of the page, click the Vocab Loco Lists tab.
- This is the built-in library of preloaded word list groups.
Step 3: Filter by Type and Category
- Use the dropdowns to browse grade-leveled word lists:
- List Group Type: choose what kind of library lists you want (e.g., Vocabulary, Spelling, Publisher, Themed).
- Group Category: narrow down the type into sub-categories.
Step 4: Search the library (optional)
- Use the Search box to find content faster.
- In Search By, choose what the search matches:
- Group Name
- Lesson Name
- Word Content
Step 5: Preview lessons, words, and worksheets
- On any library group card, you can:
- Click Lessons (or the lessons counter) to preview the word lists inside the group.
- Click Words (or the words counter) to preview the word content.
- Click Quick View to open full details and access worksheets.
Step 6: Assign to students or manage on Assign
- If the group is not yet assigned, click Assign to students to start the assignment wizard.
- If the group is already assigned, click Manage on Assign to edit activities, students, and scheduling.
? Pro Tip: You can use Copy / Split on a Vocab Loco library group to copy word lists into your own custom group or split them into smaller groups before assigning.
