How to Schedule Word Lists by Start and End Dates in Vocab Loco

Created by Debra Marcinelli, Modified on Mon, 28 Apr at 4:35 PM by Debra Marcinelli

Vocab Loco gives you full control over when students see each assigned word list.
You can schedule lessons to turn on and off automatically based on the dates you set!

Follow these simple steps to schedule your word lists:

1️⃣ Assign Your Word List First

Before scheduling, you must first assign the word list to your students.
➡️ If you haven't done that yet, head to the Assign Word List screen and save your list assignment.

2️⃣ Click the Schedule Button

After assigning, you'll see the Schedule button appear next to each student’s name.

  • Click Schedule next to the student you want to manage.
(You can also use Bulk Schedule Selected to schedule for multiple students at once!)

3️⃣ Set Start and End Dates

A calendar window will open showing all the lessons in your word list.

  • Choose a Start Date: The day the lesson becomes available to the student.

  • Choose an End Date: The last day the lesson will remain open.

You can set different dates for each lesson based on your class pacing.

✅ Tip: If you leave a lesson without a start date, students will see it immediately.
✅ Tip: If you want to hide a lesson after a certain date, be sure to set an End Date.

4️⃣ Save Your Schedule

Once your dates are selected, click Save Schedule at the bottom.

Your students will now automatically see lessons based on the dates you picked — no extra management needed!
