Teachers often ask: “Can I stop my students from completing a test until I decide they’re ready?” The answer is YES — and you have several ways to control test access in Vocab Loco.
1. Set Requirements Before Tests Unlock
When you assign a word list (Step 3: Modules), you can control which lessons must be completed before a test becomes available.
Example: Require vocabulary practice before the spelling test.
This ensures students work through practice activities first, instead of skipping straight to the test.
2. Turn Tests ON or OFF Manually
In the Modules step of assigning a list, you can toggle tests on or off:
OFF = Test is hidden from students.
ON = Test becomes visible immediately.
This gives you quick control if you want to temporarily hide a test and then make it available later.
3. Schedule Tests in Advance
In Step 4: Schedule, you can set the exact day a test will appear for your students.
Choose weekdays, weekends, or specific calendar dates.
Until the scheduled day, students won’t see the test.
This option is perfect if you want to build out your plans ahead of time and lock everything in.
✅ Pro Tip: You can also reset or reschedule a student’s test if you need to give extra time or move the date.
Bottom Line
With Vocab Loco, you decide when tests unlock. Whether it’s setting activity requirements, toggling them on/off, or scheduling dates — your students only see what you want them to, when you want them to.
