How to Let Students Unlock the Next Lesson After Passing Spelling & Vocabulary Tests

If you're using Ready-Made Weekly Lesson Plans and want your students to advance automatically without completing every game or module, you can set it up so that passing the Spelling and Vocabulary tests is all they need!

✅ Goal:

Let students unlock the next lesson as soon as they pass both tests — even if they skip some games.

✅ Step-by-Step Instructions:

1. Edit the Assigned Word List

• Go to your Word Lists

• Click Assigned Word Lists

• Select the list you’re using and click Edit

• Go to Step 3 – Modules

2. Set the Passing Requirements

• Turn ON Vocabulary Test and Spelling Test

• Set Minimum Passing Grade to 100% for both

• Change Allowed Tries to 99 so students aren't locked out after just a few attempts

✅ Don't forget to scroll down and click the green Save button!

3. Skip the Schedule (Optional)

If no schedule is set in Step 4, students can move to the next lesson as soon as they pass the required tests — no waiting for a new week to start.

✅ Do You Need to Change the Site-Wide Grade?

Not necessarily!
The system will follow the grade you set in Step 3 – Modules, even if your site-wide grade is different.

(But if you’d like to check or change it:
Go to Customize Program → Settings → Minimum Passing Grade)

✅ Reminder:

Students do not have to complete every game to move forward. The Spelling Test + Vocabulary Test are the only required items for automatic lesson advancement — if they pass with the minimum score you set.
