How to Create Your Own Word List (Custom Lists)

✅ Step 1: Click “Create Your Own Word Lists”

On the Word Lists page, select the card titled “Create Your Own Word Lists.”


✅ Step 2: Click “Create Word List Group”

Start by clicking the tile to create a new word list group (like a folder).


✅ Step 3: Name the Group

Enter a name (like “4th Grade Vocabulary Lists”) and choose a cover image.


✅ Step 4: Click Save

Once your group is named and styled, hit Save.



✅ Step 5: Click “Create New List”

Now click into your group and choose Create New List to begin your first set.


✅ Step 6: Name the Word List

Give your list a title (like “Lesson 1”) and click OK.


✅ Step 7: Add Words to Your List

Type in vocabulary words and click + Add or hit Enter.


✅ Step 8: Add or Edit Definitions & Sentences

Vocab Loco auto-generates definitions and sentence—you can click definitions to customize it.

✅ Step 9: View or Edit Your Group

Your new group now appears in your Custom Word Lists dashboard. Click Manage Word Lists to edit or continue building!
